Vibrance has exciting opportunities available for you to join us as a Support Worker to join the team at their Learning Disability Services in Larwood and Chantry in South Ockendon. The full-time position will be for 37hrs, part-time hours* are also available for an attractive salary ranging from £16,841- £20,011 per Annum.
A house with excellent community links, Chantry Way is a supported Living environment providing care and support to four individuals with a learning disability.
We are seeking a highly motivated Support Worker, committed to supporting people with learning difficulties to achieve a high quality of life. You will work closely with service users both within and outside the home. Your main purpose will be to enable service users to achieve a meaningful presence within the local community
Duties and Responsibilities of our Support Worker:
– Ensure that all aspects of Vibrances care and support services to individuals within their home are maintained at a consistently high level, providing emotional support to service users on an individual basis to enable them to become active members of their community.
– Ensure that individual programmes of care and support are planned, executed and monitored, so that a high quality of service is provided. This will involve managing staff, co-ordinating the delivery of services in accordance with individual support plans/ risk assessments. By doing so, you will provide a support service that meets the needs of the individuals, empowering them and promoting self-determination.
– You will be required to work shifts, including weekends, sleep ins and bank holidays.
Skills and experience required by our Support Worker:
To be considered, you will need some experience of working within a care setting and must demonstrate a positive attitude towards people with learning disabilities and the principles of community care.
For more senior roles you must have a Health & Social Care Qualification level 2 or 3 and experience of working in a relevant care setting within the past two years.
