Senior Software Developer (Microsoft Stack)
Office Location: Leicester, roles can be worked remotely with occasional office travel
Salary/Benefits: to £55,000 p/a plus a range of benefits inc. pension, holidays, private medical, income protection, learning and development budget, flexible and remote working, etc
Company: Harvey Nash are representing a Leicester based business who are at the top of their game following a great start to 2020. They are a market leader in their field following a merger in 2018 that expanded the business, customer base and technical reach of this organisation. Their technical/development team is now 16 heads and the plan is to grow this by another 5 developers over the next 6 months to aid with existing customer projects, new customer builds and a significant amount of R&D. Initially we are looking for two Senior Software Developers who will join the business and get right into two key development build projects.
Role: Reporting to the Head of Development this role will see both of these hires be responsible for the design and development of software applications, primarily using the Microsoft .NET platform. You’ll join at a time where their development function has an abundance of exciting projects they are working through and you’ll have the chance to play a key role in both the application build, but also wider technology choices moving forwards. This is a real opportunity to step out of a ‘normal’ development function and have the chance to play a bigger, more technical role in a business who treat software as the key driver in their decisions
Tech: They are a .NET led business who utilise Azure in the cloud, so we’re looking for someone who’s comfortable working with C# .NET (Core would be great), SQL databases and someone who has worked on larger scale developments. Any experience of working on cloud development projects using Azure is advantageous, as is commercial experience with Angular.
The Person: We’re looking for someone comfortable working with technology that affects people day to day, a strong communicator who can articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and someone who believes in the power of teamwork.
In return they are offering; salary to £55,000 p/a plus a range of benefits inc. pension, holidays, private medical, income protection, learning and development budget, flexible and remote working, etc. Their team are currently working fully remote and the plan is to use this mentality moving forwards but on occasion there may be office travel required so they would prefer someone who is able to travel to Leicester from time to time comfortably.
