This role is based on two or more days in a vibrant studio in the Cotswolds. There is a train station in the town, with direct links to London and the area is easily accessible from Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire. Our client is a Live Events studio specialising in travelling exhibitions and location-based entertainments, with offices in London and New York as well as a design studio in the Oxford / Cotswolds area.
They create story-telling experiences that appeal to a wide range of audiences and deliver the whole experience from venue sourcing, to design and build of the exhibitions and the marketing too, that roll out across the globe.
They are an exceptionally talented team of Curators, Producers, 3D Designers, Venue and Tour Planners and Creative.
We are looking for an experienced Art Director / Designer to lead the 2D design direction of a major global exhibition for a high-profile leisure brand, that will be delivered across multiple cities (globally) over the next two years.
You will be a key member of their Creative and Design Team and will be responsible for conceptualising and executing strong creative ideas, aligned with brand guidelines, standards and aspirations. Your ability to devise strong media neutral design concepts that work across all campaign channels and in-exhibition displays will really help this project go to the next exciting phase.

You’ll enjoy working alongside the Lead Producers, Creative Director, specialist Curators and their in-house design team who are all working to the same goal. It’s a high-energy team. There are plenty more high-profile exhibitions lined up for when this project comes to an end.
You will fit right in if you are an experienced Art Director / Designer, who thinks strategically, loves collaboration and is obsessed by beautiful craft.
You have a portfolio and experience in multi-channel brand and marketing, which includes working in the events and/or exhibitions sector (being able to visualise space is essential). The studio has 3D capability to design the space and displays itself. It’s your job to get people to the event and add the 2D dimension to the experience.
You will need to be in the studio two days per week (or more if that suits you), with the rest being remote.
