Sequence Care Group are a well-established Healthcare organisation within the Private Sector looking for a full time, experienced, efficient and proactive Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to work within an established clinical team. You will be managed by the Lead Positive Behaviour Analyst who is Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, supporting and working alongside Positive Behaviour Support Assistants.
Sequence Care Group provides high quality residential care, the people we support have a wide range of needs including learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism and Asperger’s and these complex needs require a specialist and tailored approach.
About the Role
The Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner is a new role within the company, the main purpose of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner will be to implement Sequence Cares PBS strategy, support PBS application, creating capable environments that improve well-being and quality of life for the people we support, whilst reducing challenging behaviour and the use of restrictive interventions.
– Conduct behavioural assessments and deliver reports
– Develop, implement and evaluate Positive Behaviour Support plans using the practices and principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis to increase functionally equivalent behaviours and reduce challenging incidents.
– Contribute to the designing of, writing, delivering and evaluation of training.
– Keep up-to-date with research findings through literature review, attendance at conferences and Special Interest Groups.
– Supervise one or two Positive Behaviour Support Assistants that will support you in your services.
Seeking a flexible, driven and committed individual who is not afraid of a challenge. This person would be true to the principles of PBS but also know when to get a bit creative in order to work for the best possible outcomes. This person will feel passionate about working with individuals who have complex behavioural support needs and demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people that we are involved with.
You will be an excellent communicator and have experience working individuals from Local Authorities and families. You will be experienced delivering training and teaching others how to change their own behaviour.
