A fabulous and rare opportunity has arisen to join a well-established team in a health care setting as a multi-skilled technician.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a multi skilled technician role to carry out highly complex maintenance tasks, detailed fault diagnosis, repairs, service, condition surveys and inspection of complex building, mechanical, electrical, gas equipment, associated systems, plant and equipment of a complex/non-routine nature in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and statutory regulations.
Supervise a team of Estates Assistants to ensure delivery of repairs and planned maintenance tasks in line with key performance indicators to a high quality standards.
Provide training to maintenance staff and contractors covering technical issues and communicate health and safety requirements to staff, patients and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Successfully achieve the specialist training qualification followed by a technical interview process to be appointed and act as the organisations ‘competent person’ in the following areas:
Act as estates specialist engineer monitoring and maintaining the Estates Building Management System managing the external contractor to ensure planned maintenance is carried out as per schedule.
Qualified to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations to manage site fixed wired installation testing to comply with statutory regulations.
Carry out detailed fault finding procedures to repair the L1 fully addressable fire alarm system and emergency lighting system.
Plan and organise in coordination with contractors unsupervised
routine and complex maintenance, analysis, solution finding and repair work, assess safety situation/analysis and diagnosis of faults on a range of complex multifaceted building services that requires the judgement and skills of a fully qualified maintenance worker as this relates to his/her competence, training and/or experience. These requirements will include :
This is a full time role (37.5 hours a week) and will be 6 months initially. For the right candidate there is scope for the role to become permanent. After a successful training period, the successful applicant will be required to undertake shift work (based on a 12 week shift pattern).
