Salary: £26,427 per annum
Benefits: Local Government Pension Scheme pension, Health insurance through Benenden Health (contribution based), Holiday Entitlement – 23 days plus 3 statutory at Christmas, increasing on service time.
Hours: 42.5 Per Week (7.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break.)

The Upper Medway IDB is a leading flood risk management authority in the Medway catchment. Working under the Land Drainage Act, we perform statutory support works to control water movements in the local flood zones. We work closely with other risk management authorities, including councils and the Environment Agency to provide a holistic flood management service to our stakeholders.
We require a field based operative to become part of a team carrying out routine maintenance of adopted watercourses within the Upper Medway district, as directed and governed by the Clerk. In cases of emergency and as circumstances arise, this area may be extended to incorporate Lower Medway district assets as well.
Training will be offered to the successful applicant to achieve the standards required in all aspects of the company’s tasks and expectations.
