Approved Electrician/ CompEX
Location – Annan – Dumfries and Galloway
Hourly Rate – £18.50 – £19 per hour plus Travel
Established in 1984, ESS’s Client is an established supplier of instrumentation sales, electrical and instrumentation project management, system integration for industrial and process control. They have successfully and continually expanding their customer base, industry knowledge and expertise in a global market.
At present, they seek Electrical Technician’s to be based on site in Edinburgh for an initial 3-month contract
In this job, you will undertake Electrical duties within recognised competence levels and disciplines.
As Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for the delivery of on-site installation, maintenance and inspection/testing of works with support of Supervisor. You will also sign off inspection reports.
Another aspect to your role will be to carry out works safely in accordance with programme requirements, project specifications, regulatory requirements and Group procedures.
* COMPEX 01-04 (Desirable)
* 17th/ 18th Edition wiring regulations (BS7671 / City & Guilds 2382-15)
* Hold SJIB / JIB ECS Approved
* City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection certification (Preferred but not essential)
You will have experience in electrical installation work and in a wide range of installation methods including conduit systems, MICC cables and armoured cables.
In addition, you must be able to read electrical drawings and work conscientiously without supervision, as the notes the you will be taking directly relate to the success of the project.
It would be advantageous to have knowledge of installation, maintenance and repairs on a variety of industrial systems
In addition, you will have prior experience working within a large commercial build, industrial background, including Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical and Oil & Gas.
This role is not suited to candidates solely with a commercial and domestic fit out background.
