We are looking for experienced, Advanced Support Workers for these fantastic opportunities!
A brand-new opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Support Worker to work in a supported living environment in Knottingley.
In this position, you will be supporting individuals dealing with trauma and forensic history, where this will be the first time that they will be integrating and being involved in the community.
We are looking for someone who is truly a team player, proactive, extremely resilient, hardworking, and has a passion to really make a difference by fulfilling people’s lives through providing person-centred support. If you are someone who has worked within a similar environment before (perhaps aligned environments such as secure units, rehabilitation etc.) and are looking to take your career to the next level and are passionate about the person you are supporting, then this would be a fantastic role for you!

What are the requirements to become an Advanced Support Worker?
Previous understanding and knowledge of MCA and DOLS (we will provide refresher training on both)
Understanding of what a journey for people going through trauma would look like, or an understanding of supporting individuals with a developmental condition and a learning disability.
Be proactive and focused on the key aspects of outcomes/person led care and support, and implement this into your role.
Ability to work positively with someone who has a forensic background that can be quite significant (some sexualised/violent) by being able to look at the person they are today and work in an outcome-based way while understanding their background.
Only males will be considered for this position due to the background and the preferences of the individuals you will be supporting. Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
For this role immediate start dates are available, we are holding interviews this week and next.
